Degraded soils rehabilitation
In a context of urbanization, the anthropization of environments is an increasingly important threat to fertile soil resources. For the climate, biodiversity and food security, restoring degraded soils is a major challenge for the future. Microhumus has implemented the OptimSitu® process.

Restoring degraded soils and environments is at the heart of Microhumus's activity, our engineering company specializes in soil construction..

Our services
OptimSitu®
OptimSitu® is a pedological, plants and ecological engineering process which allows agronomic rehabilitation of soils in order to revegetate degraded soils and environments.

-
In situ valuation of materials
-
Restoration of physical soil functions
-
Agronomic development of soils
-
Vegetation and rehabilitation of ecosystem services: limitation of erosion, improvement of water retention, development of biodiversity
-
Valuation of sites with plants of interest and the development of an economic activity (energy / biomass / food ...)
Pedological Enginnering
Restore the soil to its physical functions: lift, porosity, infiltration and water retention.

Soil construction is becoming a primary need in development projects, whether they are sustainable city projects or projects in the natural environment. A constructed soil is called technosol and the construction requires a solid knowledge of pedology and agronomy.

Benefits of technosols: valorization of available materials (alternative resources to agricultural land), restore soil to its functions for the safety of cities (infiltration, lift and revegetation)
PLANTS & MICROBIAL Engineering
Revegetation and biological activity of soils

Microhumus selects plants suitable for the study environment and capable of colonizing hostile environments.

Plants and microorganisms in close collaboration

The microbiological knowledge of our partner LSTM (Laboratory of Tropical and Mediterranean Symbioses, IRD) allows us to select the microbiological strains specific to the environment and beneficial to the development of the plant.
Ecological Engineering
Microhumus is a member of the Union of Professionals in Ecological Engineering (UPGE) and participates in the recognition of biological activity in the soil compartment (bacteria, fungi, earthworms, ...) in the same way as for fauna and the flora.
We take this biological activity into account in all our projects, at least to ensure lasting functionality, and when possible, to recreate specific biotopes.
Because biodiversity is essential to the health of soils and environments, Microhumus makes each of its services available to its customers, experts and partners.
