History

Microhumus, founded in October 2007, is a spin off from the Soils and Environment Laboratory (LSE, UMR 1120 INRA Université Lorraine). The first historical activity of the company is based on Transmission Electron Microscopy, used for the agronomic characterization of organic matter and soils. The methodology used is unique in the world, developed by Geneviève Villemin and Françoise Watteau, researchers at the CNRS and the University of Lorraine. Transmission electron microscopy characterization makes it possible to diagnose the bio-functioning of soils by observing the different soil aggregates.
